Kalmar Tourist Office

Kalmar has a long tradition in tourism, and was actually one of the first Swedish cities to offer services to visiting tourists. As early as the 1920s, Kalmar and Öland shared a tourist office that was only open in summer. Today Kalmar Tourist Office is open all year round and has approx. 90,000 visitors per season. 

At the Tourist Office we assist you whether you are a visitor or resident with anything you wish to know about Kalmar and the region. We also offer informational material for other areas of Sweden, as well as a visitors’ computer if you want to search for information on your own.

Here you can book different forms of accommodation, e.g. hotels, flats, private cottages and rooms, etc., but also theatre packages and different special offers.

You can book a local guide for city walks and tours of the area through the Tourist Office, and if you wish, we can suggest itineraries for bus groups etc.
In the Tourist Office Shop you can find a wide selection of souvenirs, maps and books. We also sell STF memberships, Kulturarvskortet (the Cultural Heritage Card) as well as tickets to a number of events.

We are responsible for the management of Kalmar Guest Harbour, and also offer services for tourists visiting by boat.
