Coronavirus (COVID-19) | Kalmar

Visiting Sweden during the covid-19 pandemic

Together we can slow down the spread of Covid-19.

Please stay safe and follow the guidelines provided by the authorities. Stay at home if you are feeling unwell, wash your hands often and keep a thoughtful distance to each other.

On this site, you will find information from the authorities about restrictions you need to be aware about if planning a stay in Sweden:

The Swedish public health authority, Folkhälsomyndigheten, presents updated information on COVID-19. If you are in Sweden you can also call the national telephone number 113 13.

This is how the municipality of Kalmar, Kalmar kommun, works with COVID-19 (information in Swedish).

New E-service: Keep your distance

This summer, we all need to keep a thoughtful distance to each other. The E-service "Keep your Distance" allows you to let us know if there are areas in Kalmar where it is difficult to keep your distance.

Cancelled events

The government of Sweden has decided to ban public gatherings and public events with more than 50 people from March 27. The restriction will apply all through the summer. For information on events in Kalmar, we refer directly to the organizer. Due to the circumstances there might be errors in our event calendar.
